He was born on 22.08.1963 in Istanbul. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Ankara. In 1987, He started to work as a research assistant in Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Biostatistics. After working at Hacettepe University between 1987-2003, he established the Department of Biostatistics at Gaziosmanpasa University Faculty of Medicine and continued his academic life there. During the period he worked there; Member of Ethics Committee of Medical Surgery (2004-2008), Member of Ethics Committee of Experimental Animals (2004-2007), Deputy Chief Physician of Research and Application Hospital (December 2006-May 2008), Assistant Coordinator of Medical Faculty Period I (2007-2012), He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Health Sciences (2009-2014), Member of the Scientific Research Advisory Commission of the Faculty of Medicine (2010-2012), and Board Member of Tokat Health High School (2010-2012). He has been working in the Biostatistics Department of the Near East University Faculty of Medicine since September 2014. As of September 1, 2014, he was appointed as the Head of the Department of Biostatistics. Since February 5, 2015, he has been working as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Health Sciences. Apart from these, he works as a "Biostatistics Editor" in various journals, 4 of which are in Turkey and 7 are abroad. He has two children, a girl and a boy.
