This course provides students with the opportunity to understand the fundamental principles of Roman Law, its historical development, legal resources, the legal structure of the Roman Empire, and its influence on modern legal systems. Starting from the basic principles of Roman Law, the course explores the evolution of Roman Law and the changes during historical periods, allowing students to explore the Roman legal system. The aim of this course is to enable students to understand and analyze various aspects of Roman law.

Erkut Ziya Sivrikaya, 1987 yılında İstanbul'da doğdu. Lisans eğitimini Yakın Doğu Üniversitesi Hukuk Fakültesi'nde tamamladı. Akademik yolculuğunu aynı üniversitede sürdürerek yüksek lisans ve doktora derecelerini elde etti. Halen Yakın Doğu Üniversitesi Hukuk Fakültesi Hukuk Tarihi Anabilim Dalında öğretim elemanıdır.
