• Participants who are successful in the exams held at the end of the courses are entitled to receive a Certificate of Achievement.

Course description

The course A1 Level in English aims to help students gain A1 Level proficiency in English which enables them to understand and use daily expressions that require a direct and easy exchange of information in routine situations they are familiar with. E-Study Box gives the participants a Certificate of Participation bearing the name of the training, provided that they complete the course they purchase, a Certificate of Achievement is awarded to the students who will be successful in the GET B2 exam to be held by English Preparatory School at the end of the course.

Outcomes of A1 Level in English Education

Students will be able to:

• Understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type
• introduce themselves and others
• ask and answer questions about personal details such as where someone lives
• describe people they know and things they have
• interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is ready to help

What will I learn in the A1 Level English Education?

After completion of the course students are expected to be able to:

• Understand familiar words and very basic phrases about themselves, their families, and immediate concrete surroundings when people speak slowly and clearly
• understand very short and simple texts by reading again when necessary, comprehending a single phrase at a time, perceiving familiar names, words, and basic expressions
• Ask and answer simple questions on very familiar topics
• Use simple phrases and sentences to describe where they live and the people they know
• ask for or pass on personal details in written form
• write simple isolated phrases and sentences

A2 Level English course aims to provide students with A2 level language proficiency corresponding to basic users of the English language, that is those who can communicate with common expressions and basic vocabulary used in everyday situations. E-Study Box gives the participants a Certificate of Participation bearing the name of the training, provided that they complete the course they purchase, a Certificate of Achievement is awarded to the students who will be successful in the GET B2 exam to be held by English Preparatory School at the end of the course.

Outcomes of A2 Level English Education

Students…

• Will be able to understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment),
• Will be able to read and understand very short, simple texts (i.e. advertisements, job offers, menus, timetables, and personal letters),
• Will be able to communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters,
• Will be able to describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment, and matters in areas of immediate need,
• Will be able to write short, simple notes and understand a simple personal letter.

What will I learn in the A1 Level English Education?

After completion of the course students are expected to be able to:

• Understand phrases and the highest frequency vocabulary related to areas of most immediate personal relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local area, employment) provided the speech is clear and slow
• Understand short, simple texts on familiar topics of the concrete type that are frequently used every day or consist of work-related language,
• Use short series of phrases and sentences to describe people's living and working conditions, their daily routines, the things they like or dislike to do, and so on,
• Write short, simple notes and messages relating to matters in areas of immediate needs,
• Take short simple notes, provided that he/she can ask for repetition, rephrasing, and reformulation.
