Course summary

What is fundamentally implied in Hegel’s statement, “Only one man ever understood me, and he did not understand me.” is that humans are social beings as much as they are biological.  In this context, they want to explain and be understood. This course includes: developing skills by focusing on how communication can be used more effectively, learning about communication obstacles and how to overcome them, the aspects of body language and how to actively and correctly use them, and also aims to develop teamwork and communication skills. In this regard, the main aim is to help participants develop in the related fields.

Course definition

The “Effective Communication Skills, Body Language and Human Relations” course focuses on how to use communication more effectively and productively. In this context, on the basis of improving communication skills, the aim is to understand and overcome communication obstacles, use body language more actively and correctly by providing an introduction to body language factors, and developing communication skills.  In this regard, the main aim is to help participants develop in the related fields.

He graduated from the Near East University Faculty of Law in 2013 and then enrolled in the Near East University Social Sciences Institute Private Law Master’s Program under Near East University Teaching Staff Training Program with a full scholarship and began working as an academic staff member in the Law Faculty. He completed his master’s in 2015. After completing his work experience in the field of law, he enrolled in the NEU Social Sciences Institute Private Law Doctorate program with a full scholarship from the ÖYP. (Teaching Staff Training Program.) He began working as the Near East University Legal Consultant. He has conducted many law-justice seminars in the TRNC and Turkey in the frame of Near East University promotional activities. At the end of 2015, he enrolled on the NEU Social Science Institute Media and Communication Studies Doctorate Program; he began working as part of the academic staff of the Communications Faculty. He completed his doctorate in 2018 with his thesis defence. Dolunay, who has attended many national and international conferences and conducted presentations, has published many articles in Turkish and in English in the fields of Law, Sociology and Communication and has published 7 books. Asst. Prof. Dr. Dolunay was assigned as the Head of the Social Sciences Institute in the 2019 Fall Semester. Asst. Prof. Dr. Ayhan Dolunay, who has conducted Field Editorship and Guest Editorship in international journals, has also been on the Science Committees of different conferences.
