Sertan Serte received his BSc degree with honors in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Eastern Mediterranean University. He also did his MSc program in Multimedia, Signal Processing, and Communications at the University of Surrey. His MSc project was on Speech processing. Then, he completed his Ph.D. in Electronic Engineer program at Queen Mary, the University of London in 2015. While he was in the Multimedia and Vision Research Group, he was working in the areas of image and video analysis of facial gestures and multimodal Human-Computer Interaction. He became Assoc. Prof. Dr. in 2016 and he is currently Assoc. Prof. Dr. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department in Near East University. His main research interests are in the area of Computer Vision and Machine Learning. In Particular, he is working on the analysis of facial gestures for multimodal Human-Computer Interaction.
