She was born on 27 October in Mersin, Republic of Turkey. During her primary school education, she settled in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. After completing her primary and middle school education, she graduated from 20 Temmuz Fen Lyceein Nicosia. After she completed her undergraduate education in 1994 at the Near East University, Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, she started her master’s degree in Business Administration. During her MBA education, she worked as a research assistant in the School of Tourism and Hotel Management. In addition, she performed duties during summer sessions as an assistant in the registration and promotion offices of the university. After her master’s graduation in 2001, she started to work in the Near East University, School of Tourism and Hotel Management as a full-time lecturer. She has also been involved in many international academic conferences of Near East University as a member of organization committees between 1999 and 2007. Nesrin Menemenci Bahçelerli has performed administrative coordination and student affairs duties between 2001 and 2007. She has also been involved in many committees of the Turkish Republic of northern Cyprus, Ministry of Tourism and Environment, Tourism Master Plan studies on behalf of Near East University as a representative. In June of 2013, she received her PhD education in the Near East University, Faculty of Education, withEducation Management as the major field of study, and she is also continuing her academic studies and research. At the same time, she has served as assistant director in the Vocational School of Tourism and Hotel Management. Asa member of the Near East University family from 1998 until the present time, with the many opportunities of the university, she is educating future tourism managers along with practical resources and with social responsibilities. NesrinM. Bahçelerli is married and is a mother of a child.
