She was born in Nicosia on June 12, 1970. She completed her primary, secondary, and high school education in Nicosia. After graduating from the Department of Public Administration of Anadolu University in 2003, she continued her graduate education at the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counselling of Near East University. She completed her master's degree with the thesis defense on "The Prevalence of Substance Use among TRNC High School Students". In 2005, she enrolled in the doctorate program offered by the same department and completed the program by defending her doctoral thesis on "The Prevalence of Psychoactive Substance Use in TRNC High School Students, Risk Factors and Its Relationship with the Methods of Coping with Stress". Between 2003-2009, she worked as a psychological consultant at the Pink Pavilion (Pembe Köşk) Treatment Centre. Between 2009-2020, she worked as a lecturer at the NEU Guidance and Psychological Counselling Department. During these years, she delivered various lectures on psychopathology, psychotherapy, and counselling. Since 2020, she has been working as the Head of the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counselling of the University of Kyrenia. She is a substance abuse therapist, positive psychotherapist, and family therapist. She has two children.
