He completed his undergraduate studies at the Hacettepe University Mathematics Department, his master's and doctoral studies at Eastern Mediterranean University Applied Mathematics and Computer Department, and obtained the title of Associate Professor in Mathematics Education. Between2010-14, he worked as a consultant on European Union projects and also taughtSmart Boards to teachers in schools. He has organized basic and advanced computer and Office software use, statistical software (SPSS) use, measurement and evaluation courses for hundreds of teachers affiliated with the Ministry of Education and continues to provide these courses. He has participated in numerous national and international scientific meetings. He has had many publications, many of which have received citations in international journals. He has consulted on more than 40 masters and doctoral dissertations. Between2008 and 2018, he was the Head of the Department of Primary and SecondaryMathematics Teaching, the Head of the Department of Secondary Science and Mathematics Education, as well as the Assistant Dean of the Near East University, Atatürk Faculty of Education. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Tezer currently continues his role as a teacher of elementary mathematics teaching at the Atatürk Faculty of Education of Near East University.
