He was born in 1979 in Silifke, Mersin. After completing his primary school education at Seka Primary School in the village of Taşucu in Silifke, he attended middle school and high school at the Ankara Anadolu Boarding School. In 1997, he began the Selçuk University Education Faculty Class Teaching Program. After graduating in 2001, he began teaching at Büyük Sarıkaya village, Bahşili district, Kırıkkale province as headmaster and class teacher. In 2003, he began his postgraduate studies in the field of special education in the United States of America (USA) with a bursary obtained from the Ministry of Education (MEB). In 2009, after obtaining his doctorate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he began working at Muğla University. In 2011, he moved to Eskişehir Osmangazi University Education Faculty Special Education Department. Between 2015-2018 he was a coordinator member of the Council of Higher Education Students with Disabilities commission, and between 2017-2018 he worked as the assistant head of the Eskişehir Osmangazi University Education Sciences Institute. Between 2012-2018, he was the head of department at Eskişehir Osmangazi University Special Education Department. Also, between 2012-2019, he was head of the Eskişehir Osmangazi University Special Education Services Application and Research Centre (ÖZHUAM). Since 30 June 2020, he has been the head of the department at the Eskişehir Osmangazi University Special Education Department. He is continuing to work at the Eskişehir Osmangazi University Special Education Department as the head of the department and a lecturer.
