Born in Lefkoşa in 1980, she attended Türk Maarif Koleji for her secondary education. She received her BA in Linguistics from Hacettepe University, Turkey. Following this, she participated in teacher training courses at Hacettepe University for a year. Upon completion of this course, she attended Bilkent University to obtain her MA degree in English Language Teaching. Between 2004-2016, she performed many duties as a teacher and as a coordinator in the Near East University English Preparatory School. In 2016, she was assigned as the Faculty English Program Coordinator for the Common Courses Coordination Unit and has been working in this position until now. She is also pursuing her Ph.D. studies in English Language Teaching and attending various seminars and workshops in the field. She has taught General English at various levels as well as departmental courses in the English Language Department.
