  • Participants who are successful in the exams held at the end of the courses are entitled to receive a Certificate of Achievement.

Course description

B1 Level English course aims to provide students with B2 Level English language proficiency corresponding to independent users of the English language that is those who have the fluency required to communicate without an effort with native speakers.  Besides, it is aimed at providing students not only with a degree of fluency and spontaneity required to understand and respond to complex ideas and thoughts but also with the proficiency required to write texts on very comprehensive topics. E-Study Box gives the participants a Certificate of Participation bearing the name of the training, provided that they complete the course they purchase, a Certificate of Achievement is awarded to the students who will be successful in the GET B2 exam to be held by English Preparatory School at the end of the course.


Course outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course,
  • students will be able to understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization,
  • students will be able to interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party,
  • students will be able to produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options,
  • At the B2 level, there is a focus on effective argument. Students are able to account for and sustain their opinions in discussion by providing relevant explanations, arguments, and comments. They can explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options and can develop an argument giving reasons in support of or against a particular point of view. They can take an active part in informal discussion in familiar contexts, commenting, putting their point of view clearly, evaluating alternative proposals, and making and responding to hypotheses. . They can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without imposing strain on either party. There is a new degree of language awareness. They are able to correct mistakes if they have led to misunderstandings, can make a note of “favorite mistakes” and consciously monitor speech for it/them and generally, they can correct slips and errors if they become conscious of them.


What will I learn in this course?

OVERALL LISTENING COMPREHENSION Students can understand standard speech spoken at a normal rate and follow even complex lines of argument provided the topic is reasonably familiar. They can understand the essentials of lectures and most TV news and current affairs programs and can understand the majority of films in standard dialect.
OVERALL READING COMPREHENSION At this level, students can understand articles and reports concerned with contemporary problems in which the writers adopt particular stances or viewpoints. They can understand contemporary literary prose and can adapt style and speed of reading to different texts and purposes, using appropriate reference sources selectively.
OVERALL SPOKEN INTERACTION & PRODUCTION   Students can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible. They are able to take an active part in discussion in familiar contexts and can account for and sustain views clearly by providing relevant explanations and arguments. They can present clear, detailed descriptions of a wide range of subjects related to their field of interest, expanding and supporting ideas with subsidiary points and relevant examples. They can explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
OVERALL WRITTEN INTERACTION, CORRESPONDENCE Students are able to write clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects related to their interests. They can write an essay or report, passing on information or giving reasons in support of or against a particular point of view. They can write letters highlighting the personal significance of events and experiences.

Born in Mashhad in 1986, he studied mathematics in high school and graduated from Guilan University's Department of English Literature. She has taught English for 15 years and has attended various ESL seminars and conferences throughout her career. He has mainly trained IELTS candidates over the past five years. In 2020, Cambridge University did CELTA at Izmir International House. He attended NEU preparatory school in 2021. In 2022 he joined Near East University’s Master’s program in ELT.
